Help with Frontpage Forms

Frontpage Forms
Can I create a form with multiple fields so that when an entry is made in a couple fields a calculation will appear in another field? or is done somehow somewhere else.
I really didn't want to create a database since I only need the data collected to be sent in a text format.
Example. field 1: date, field 2: date, field 3: Auto calc of # of days, field 4: $ amount/day, field 5: auto total. down near the bottom is a field with auto calc of all the totals fields

If needmore info, I can email the form.

Thanks

yes it can be done, you can do it with Java scripting
for example:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
function calc_days()
{
var start = my_form.start_date.value;
var end = my_form.close_date.value;
var days = end - start;
my_form.num_days.value = days;
}
</SCRIPT>
then call the function either when you submit or when the data is changed.
<input type="text" name="start_date" size="20" value="mm/dd/yy" Onchange= "calc_days()" >

as for the rest of the calcuations jsut add them in. you will need to add in the code for actually taking the date in a set format to find the days elapsed. A good reference is

Over my head. thanks anyway. I tried inserting it into my page but don't know how to call it. All the sites that give tutorials seem to show what maybe I am looking for but again don't show how to actually use it within a form
thanks again
