Well, this is a surprise. Gmail has been in beta for over five years. Why take it out of beta all of a sudden? ...

I liked gmail better before their recent 'improvements'.

I second that

One of thier "improvements" is causeing me major difficulties.

Something to do with a bug ..*cough* er enhancement they made.. doesn't work too well on vista..

Basically, it doesnt' pick up my keystrokes..so i end up typing half words, with no spaces or some other gibberish.
I have to retype words several times..so most of the time i give up and just send the dang thing..anyone who's ever gotten an email form me after work hours will know what i am talking about..
I try and do most my email at work now

I know..i COULD type in notepad and paste it in...but really..sheeshh...

In the article...

...it alludes to the fact that people don't feel comfortable putting their eggs into a 'beta' basket. I think someone at Google crunched some numbers, and came up with the idea that if the beta tag was removed, they'd get millions more in revenue; by convincing firms to move their IT operations into the cloud. (ugh)

That, or they're about to launch a cross-promotion with Marvel Comics.

"The Hulk and Google know how to go green---with Google Apps, Gamma Release".

Also in the news today, MTV will be dropping the 'M' from it's name. A spokesman acknowledged, "We haven't played any music in years."

Guess it's time I took another look at a gmail account.

That's probably a weekend project. I've also been intending to reactivate a disabled Twitter account, but I've been promising myself / Jason that for a couple of months and it hasn't happened yet. I think that says a lot about the priority I put on that project...
