Ok, so I have this dual-boot setup that has to run until semester break when I can redo it yet again. Ubuntu on the Primary Master and WinXP on the Secondary Master – with the exception of the boot files which sit in a little bitty partition on the primary.
No problem goofing it up in Ubuntu as it is clearly labeled as the XP bootloader stuff. But in XP it is just a drive letter:System. I want to hide this from me because I am goofy and may inadvertently write to it which I do not want to do. Is there a way to hide this part of the primary partition from XP?
No, hiding essential system files and folders doesn’t work, probably because it sits on a completely different hard drive.
Yes at semester redo XP goes back on the primary partition. Poo. But I was kind of afraid it wouldn’t load boot files to the secondary, and I was right. 🙁
Thanks.
