Hide drive letters in My Computer

by ibeit . Updated 23 years, 1 month ago

I attempted to do this following the articles instructions (published in the Windows XP newsletter 9/18) but my results were not so good. When I attempted to hide drive L it also hid my D drive. Furthermore, the pattern described in the article did not work for numbering the drive letters. Drive L should be 2048 following the article’s convention, but the number I finally found to get the L drive to disappear was 896. Any advice?
Thanks,
