I am using MS Project 2003. I have created external dependencies in my project file. The external tasks show up as “ghosted” tasks in the project file. In the successor colum, the ID# of the successor tasks are shown.
For the successors, the problem is the predecessor column of these tasks show the full paths of these external predecessors. This obscures the view of the columns, so to tell what the predecessor tasks are I used a combination gantt-relationship diagram view.
How can I change it so the predecessor column only shows the internal ID# for the “ghosted” external tasks, instead of the whole path?
