History of typed searches

By ROM2001 ·
What should I do so that history of my typed search topics using search engines (such as googles, yahoo and lycos) will not show up when I type the same beginning letters afterwards?

In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Auto Complete.
This is where all of those settings are for IE saving what you type in web page text boxes.

You can also delete history:

In Internet Explorer:
Tools --> Internet Options and on the General Tab there's a Clear History button.

In Netscape:
Edit --> Preferences --> highlight Navigator and there's a Clear History button there as well.

For the search Engines, you need to clear all the cookies that are saved. If you're using IE, that will be under Temporary Internet Files. If you are using Netscape, cookies will be under your user login (Program Fi;es\Netscape\users\loginname\cache ).
