I was recently working on a client workstation and during shut down, recieved a task manager message that the application 'hjbfec.exe' was not responding and to select wait, end-task, etc. I restarted and did a search for the file and found it in c:\winnt\system32. I've tried all the search engine I could think of to get more info, but it come up empty everywhere. Any suggestions as to what this app is and any other info?

Process Explorer 6 - is **free and helps you determine which processes are running in your task manager.

What brand AV are you using?

I have noticed lately that Trend Micro likes to run mysterious little .exe's in the background. Probably related to DCE/DCT services (damage cleanup).

Changes's flavor is LY43.exe. Used to freak me out until I realized what it was...aka process explorer.
