hotmail account

By Daygo_171 ·
Has anyone seen this. I have a netgear wireless rouiter connected to a cable modem. I can log into my hotmail account from the wired computer on my network but not the wireless. Thinking that it is some kind of DNS issue I did a ipconfig /flushdns with no luck. It is obviously some sort of wireless setup issue. Can anyone help?

Port forwarding

It probably is not a wireless issue. Go to MSN and ask them what ports to open. They should have an FAQ or Help link.

It is more than likely that you will not have to configure port forwarding, but you will need to worry about the firewall within the router.

Use Linksys

I had the same issue at home. I replaced the netgear with a Linksys wireless with speedboost. It worked without any issues. I was using a wired connection, the wife had the wireless and was not happy until I made her wireless hotmail accout work.
