Hotmail killing Outlook XP/2003

By ippirate ·
My users have a supplier who uses a hotmail account to correspond. Each time this vendor emails them from this account and they attempt to open it, it brings Outlook to its knees and it locks up.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen and if there is anything other than telling the guy to use another email account or just rejecting his emails?

Make sure the sender is sending his email in plain text format, without any attached stationery or .vcf's or other such stuff. Make sure the sender isn't sending in .html format. I think Hotmail sends in .html by default, and if you're not set up to receive it, it could do peculiar things to the client.
