I just want to know that can I connect two systems ( one systems installed Windows XP Pro. & the 2nd one installed with Windows 2000 Pro. )using cat 5 cable to communicate & share the resources ( file & print sharing ) & internet sharing ????????? i.e. connecting the 2 systems directly using cat 5 network cable without using any hub / switch or other media??????????????
If this is possible then, what will be the sequence of the cat 5 cable ( 8 single cables colorwise sequence )at the both ends of the cable???? & what will be the settings in win xp pro & win 2000 pro to connect these 2 systems with direct cat 5 network cable????????
