I am running win 98 SE and I need to set my modem to com 1-4 so that my software can communicate but the modem will not go to an open com port. When I add com 2 and 3, the modem will automatically move to com 5. Otherwise the modem defaults to com 3but the app says that port is not open because it has not been added.
