How can I disable updates in Windows 10 permanently? 3 times now windows update has made a laptop useless because it has updated to the newest windows and failed. All I get is the windows screen with the spinnning circle. It will sit there till I finally shut the computer off. Repair can’t fix it, revert to previous windows wont work, system restore points have all been erased even though I presonally made a restore point last time it did this after I got everything back working
