How can I display my JSP page?

By greymatter ·
I have recently installed Java Web Server.
Now I need to display a JSP page in IE. I start the JWS(either 1.3 or 2). Now when I type 'http://localhost:8080/examples/JSP/a1.jsp' (the file is located in JSP folder which is in examples folder under the directory where JWS has been installed) it does not displays the JSP file; rather it shows me a page providing a link to localhost:8080 page.
How can I display my JSP page?

hello,

You can use RESIN. RESIN is a Web Server and "application Server" for JSP/SERVLETS. You must have installed JDK first.
Look at http://www.caucho.com

I hope it helps..

How can I display my JSP page?

I want to open the JSP file using JWS only & not any other server. It should be working fine with JWS. I want to know where's the mistake. Why the JSP file is not opening up even when the web server is running properly.

How can I display my JSP page?

Creating Jsp Pages, you must have installed JDK, but the problem what i see is you are giving a wrong URL, first of all keep the JSP files in "public_html" folder under the JavaWebServer and then give the below URL in the browser :
http://localhost:8080/a1.jsp

or

under "public_html" folder create a folder with any name you want to give and then like for eample give folder name as "MyJsp", now in the browser give the below URL :
http://localhost:8080/MyJsp/a1.jsp

I agree with the second answer given. You can try that method out. That would be what I would suggest too.
