I’ve got a wkst that never managed to get MS VM installed properly — the java buttons on the site that my user needs to access never show up. The site is a federal site that requires the use of IE; Netscape or Opera won’t work with it. I’ve tried reinstalling IE5.5, but each time the install fails. I’ve tried uninstalling, including blowing away all relevant folders, and going to regedit and removing everything that said Internet Explorer, IE5, Java, VM etc. yet still when i try to reinstall, it acts like an incomplete installation(rather than fresh) and has Virtual Machine bolded like it already exists. Also, the time to download is always <1 min or nothing, which i know is just plain wrong. How can i either nuke IE5.5 entirely so I can start over, or fix the Virtual Machine?
