how can i get into software testing

hi,
My name i sunil kumar.i finished my engg in 2003.currently in mumbai.from 2 years i have been working in the bpo industry.I want know about the courses offered and their scope of getting me a job.DO these instituitions really provide recruitment.Does this industry take freshers.
After doing the software testing course what are the other avenues i can explore.

Hi Sunil,

You can go for either a testing course (which is a short term course, say 2 weeks) or CDAC certification (6 months).

Now-a-days, reputed institutes do assist you in getting a job as a part of their campus. CDAC will get you a job 99%. And they do take up freshers.

After you are familiar with basics, you can go for certifications like CSTE, to impart weight to your resume. A certified tester stands better opportunities in many organizations.

You can also go for "Automation" which is having good value in the market, for this you have to learn automation tools like SilkTest, WinRunner, Rational Robot etc.
