How can I open a website from a desktop shortcut with a different browser?

By Arlene ·
I have Chrome as my default browser on WinXP SP3. Unfortuantely, certain websites that I use often only work with IE. Is there any way that one can open different desktop shortcuts with different browsers than the default?

Hi

Make a shortcut to explorer.exe (or the browser of choice) and change the shortcut target to read
"path to browser\browser,exe" website address
example
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe" www.froogle.com
