How can I solve a sound card problem?

Windows PC device driver wizard cannot locate downloaded driver for Creative Lab sound card Model CM4830,when searched in’Specify location’. The download is installed in C:\Program Files. When the file is viewed in Explorer a window appears ‘Packagefor the Web Error’ saying “Corrupt Cabinet file!” The driver “sblw9xup” shows as an Application rather than a Folder in Explorer.
