How can I tell which browsers to use safely?

I know that there is a way to tell if a browser is safe to use, but I do not know what it is that tells you that. If anybody knows how to check or test a browser please let me know. I usually just look through the site and see if it looks reliable, but at that point I feel like if it wasn’t a secure site that I am already at risk for security issues.

All major browsers (like Chrome, Edge, Opera, Firefox, Safari and a lot more) are safe. But don’t visit unsafe sites. Using some add-on to check the site can be useful.

Most browsers are fairly safe. But no browser is completely safe. Avoid most popular add-ons and extensions. But use security extensions like Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin Lite and Ghostery.

I trust Firefox, Brave, and Avast browsers.
Rarely do I use the Edge.
However, I do not trust or use Google’s Chrome, even on my Android devices.

Why do you think Chrome is unsafe? That was your original question, wasn’t it, about how to know if a browser is save. Now without telling how you know, you imply that you find Chrome unsafe. Or is there another reason why you don’t use it?
