How Can we instal Oracle 9i on Windows Vista Home Premium SP1

Hi Iam trying to install Oracle 9i on Windows Vista, but it shows me error of Java after inserting the 3rd disk.

So, can any one suggest me step by step how should i perform my instalation.

buy a proper operating system for it.

Why anyone would want to put a database with the capability of Oracle on windows is hard to figure out. Put it on a home workstation/desktop version, is absolutely beyond me.

Guy in the above claimed to have a solution, others suggested 10g wiould be better as it's more recent, I personally wouldn't even waste my time trying. Even if it worked it would be crap.

PS they don't call it home for nothing. That means it's got a lot of manage your photo album type stuff on it, and the server stuff is crippled.

I wouldn't put anthing more than a development database server on Vista Business, never mind hom premium. It's not configured for it.
