How Can we instal Oracle 9i on Windows Vista SP1

Hi Iam trying to install Oracle 9i on Windows Vista, but it shows me error of Java after inserting the 3rd disk.

So, can any one suggest me step by step how should i perform my instalation.

And with Oracle, 'not supported' means no mere mortal can make it work, given unlimited amount of time and resources.

I m reallly sorry about this for that who was told u that oracle 9i is not support on Vista SP1.
yae it is installable but you have to refer oracle site otherwise u have to downlode a new but same verison of Oracle 9i form Oracle site.

Easy

Step 1
Go to Oracle and buy a copy of 11i

Step 2

When you get your 11i Copy of Oracle Open the Optical Drive Drawer and insert the Disc.


Step 3

When the Program Installer Appears follow the prompts.


Oracle 9i Is Not Vista Compatible you need to use 11i not 9i

Or Take your Vista Computer to a Professional and pay them to install XP Pro onto it and then you can reinstall all of your software and Oracle 91.

You should however perform a Backup before taking it to the Computer Professional to get XP Pro Installed.

hi
i also had the same java problem while installing. I ignored the problem and continued the installation. But later the apache doesnot run.
How did u came out of the problem?
