How can you delete a ip printer port?

I created printers on a WIN2000 advanced server,
by using the create new printer wizard. I selected local printer, and created a TCP/IP standard local port. It works OK.
However, when I try to delete the port I keep receiving the following message:

Selected port cannot be deleted. Operation could not be completed.
