On hp.com nothing is found if I search for VB044A. Can you supply a link to the specification and manuals of this device.

While I can’t check model numbers since my wife has retired and returned the company supplied laptop and monitors it was an HP with dock and two monitors.

Because COVID I got roped into setting it up so I elected to use the bog standard DisplayPort daisy chain method so I only needed the one DisplayPort connection in the dock to the first monitor and then a second cable from the first monitor to the next.

Now for me this is a typical setup.
      1. The laptop had the usual Intel Graphics.
      2. The monitors had both HDMI and DisplayPort in and out connections.
      3. Setup “might” challenge new techs but I found nothing challenging as it was bog standard Windows display settings in the control panel.

This is the station on HP site:

      https://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c00287007

This is what mine looks like: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FHP-HSTNN-I11X-90W-DOCKING-STATION%2Fdp%2FB014VU3R4U&psig=AOvVaw2jTA27iL1-4UQbZbM8gM_D&ust=1646295006727000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAsQjRxqFwoTCMC33Kz9pvYCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD

      It’s hp docking station vb044aa hstnn i11x 90w

After much investigation, I recently learned that my laptop a HP ProBook 6550b only supports two displays. A bummer. In the windows display panel I see 3 screens (1 built in display, and 2 external monitors), however the 2 external monitors acts as one, not independent. In the Advanced Intel Graphics Control Panel, I only see options for a Primary and Secondary screens.

I also discovered the laptops compatible with the station and identified 5 laptop models with chipsets that support 3-displays. I listed them below with their release dates.

      HP EliteBook 2170P – 3rd Gen (2011)
      HP EliteBook 8470p – 3rd Gen (2012)
      HP EliteBook 8570p – 4th Gen (2012)
      HP Probook 640 G1 – 4th Gen (2013)
      HP Probook 650 G1 – 4th Gen (2014)

However, I want to know if there is a walkaround to still use the docking station on a laptop like my HP ProBook 6550b which only supports 2 displays.
