Look in the Win.ini and see if this is in there

[windows]
load=spool32.exe

if it is remove it (place a ; in front of it)

I have not seen this with AOL but I have in several other situations

good luck

Generaly spooling problems comes from hard disk (virtual memory) and spoling or what microsoft suggest in the following article so please check hard disk with scandisk to see if any hard disk problem,
lost clusters, ect.. then check space to see if there is enogh space for spooling.

How do i correct spooler32 erors

by Rob K. In reply to How do i correct spooler3 ...

I recently ran into this problem with three comuters here where I work.
The first thing that I had done was to create a shortcut to the spool32.exe in the startup folder.
When this did not work on all of the machines (did work on one)I then ran sysedit and edited the win.ini file. I added the line "load =C:\windows\system\spool32.exe" minus the quotes.
This worked on one of the last two machines.
For the last machine I renamed the spool32.exe and the spoolss.dll files and copied new ones into there place.
So far I have not had any problems. This was done about two months ago.

Hope this helps
Rob K.
