How do i get connected to windows 2000 professional

How do i get connected or view a windows 2000 machine from a windows 98 machine please help to get a solution to this i am facing problems due to this

The ID and password used on the W98 box must be defined on the W2K box.

sorry agnelo, i couldn't help that.

Anywho... what you are looking for is how to setup 2 computers either on a local network with a hub, switch, or router or just direct connected... Please provide more information so we CAN assist you. General questions do not help.

1. Is this for directly connecting the 2 pc's?

a: use a crossover cable, use same subnet mask # ,default gateway, and workgroup. Also create usernames on both pc's with same passwords. Share a folder on each pc...

2. Is this for use in conjunction with DSL, broadband?

a: Use a hub from the gateway box or router (unless your gw or router has more than 1 port), use same subnet mask # ,default gateway, and workgroup. Also create usernames on both pc's with same passwords. Share a folder on each pc...
