Recently, PC APP Store app somehow got sneakily installed on my PC.

Through Contro Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, I uninstalled it so that its name is no longer there in that list of Programs that have been installed on my PC.

YET PC APP Store’s name sneakily REMAINS in the list of apps that I see on clicking on the Start button and also a large window of the icons of items in the PC APP Store very annoyingly appears next to the strip of the list of my apps in Windows EVEN AFTER I have restarted my PC.

How do I get rid of PC APP Store app’s sneaky invasion on my PC?

    Thank you.

I suggest going back to a restore point made before this app was installed.
But first I would try if Malwarebytes can remove these remnants.

OP, check out this article about the PC App store: https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/8957-pc-app-store-adware

From the article above, it seems as though it is a legitimate program/application but some unsavory links occasionally find their way to the site. I hope this helps.

I suspect you merely deleted the icons from your desktop but never actually uninstalled it from your system resources. The linked page above will offer much more information about completely removing it from your computer.

What’s in the PC App Store is not an issue here.

I take it’s really on your PC and not that you want it gone from the PC App Store.

Another tool I use is REVO UNINSTALLER. I’ve used the free version for over a decade.

      Uninstall from Control Panel

      Uninstall from Control Panel:

Go to “Control Panel” and then click on “Programs” or “Programs and Features.”
Look for “PC APP Store” in the list of installed programs.
Right-click on it and select “Uninstall” to remove it from your system.
      Check for leftovers:

After uninstalling from the Control Panel, it’s a good idea to check for any remaining files or folders related to PC APP Store. You can do this by navigating to the “C:\Program Files” or “C:\Program Files (x86)” folder and deleting any PC APP Store folders, if found.
      Remove from Start menu:

If the PC APP Store icon still appears in your Start menu, right-click on it and select “Unpin from Start.” This will remove the icon from the Start menu.
      Clean up Start menu list:

Sometimes, the Start menu list might not update immediately. To refresh it, open the Start menu, scroll down to the “PC APP Store” entry, right-click on it, and select “More” > “App settings.” Then, click on “Reset” to clear any cached data related to the app.
      Restart your PC:

After completing the steps above, restart your PC to ensure that any remaining traces of PC APP Store are removed.
