    How do I get the listing of Installed programs in PC to text file

    I am planning to do some inventory for
    computers in my company. beside this i also wish (imposed task) to maintain the list of installed software/programs in each PC.

    Any help would be reall asset to me.

      There is a free program called Everest. It will run an inventory on your computer and you can get a variety of reports from it including what software is installed. The reports can be saved as text files. The website address is http://www.lavalys.com. Download the home edition. Hope this helps.

        Some other free ones include WinAudit and Belarc advisor.

        Of the paid for ones I’ve used Centennial Discovery is the best I’ve found.

      just go to control penal and click on AddRemove Programm it will show you how much programm or softwares intalled on ur PC..

        That will tell you what windows thinks is installed and has a working uninstall program. What is actually installed can be quite different.
