How do I make an off canvas secondary navbar like YouTube for my website

If you’ve noticed the secondary navbar present under the search option of youtube web and also on the mobile app. I was looking forward to making the same but being a beginner I couldn’t seem to get the off-canvas part right . I’d like help from everyone present here, any help is appreciated.
code snippets and links to tutorials are more than welcome. Thanks in advance to everyone.

I see a lot of Javascript there. It could very well be it’s written by some generator, not all typed in.
