How do I replace keyboard on Apple macbook air laptop

Hello forum members
I am trying to revive my apple macbook air laptop, it's 13 inch one from 2013. I know it's old and it's in bad shape because it's been used over the years and has been working well but I have reasons to fix it.
The issue was some of the keys stopped working and Apple store said it was the keyboard that needed to be replaced but they wouldn't fix it anymore. So I took my chance of buying a keyboard on ebay to try it myself.
There are some instructions online that I found handy:

I got very close to finishing it but after removing the old keyboard, I now have lots of small "rivet" which I cannot remove. tried using cutting plier to remove them but just ended up stripping them. Without removing these rivets, I can't secure my new keyboard to the frame. I thought of using super glue too but it actually caused issues jamming one of the keys so had to use oil to get rid of the glue, so super glue isn't an option here.
Can't find any instructions to remove these small rivets.

Anyone had experience with this?
