How do I synch....

By Baadil ·
Here is a tough one.
I would like to use Windows 2000 Pro to Synch a local folder with a folder on a FTP site. I can create a Network Place and then do drag and drop but I would like to automate this process. Maybe offline folders? Or is there a way to map a drive to the ftp Network Place? This way I can use a Util to synch.

In W2K Pro. there is a utility running on the task bar called Task Scheduler. You can setup a batch file to run at a predefined time. If you need to get fancy with the copy of the files I would recommend Kixtart on your W2K Pro. machine and then right the script to run at a predefined time with Task Scheduler.

Hope that helps.

You cannot map a drive to a ftp network place. Batch file will not work here.
