Question

How do I take a screenshot on my Dell Laptop?

By mysticturtlex ·
Tags: Windows
I have a Dell laptop and I need to take screenshots on the same. Now, I know I can use Print Screen or some of the other free apps to get it done. Do you guys recommend any tool (free or paid) that you recommend for advanced editing? Because the nature of my work requires me to annotate the screenshots at times and to do it using free apps or Paint is not very easy. I did go through some links online (link removed by moderator) but all of them recommend free apps or Windows Snipping tool. I was wondering if there are any better tools? I have heard about Snagit but haven't tried it yet.

I use a Chrome Extension for annotating screenshots of webpages, it is called Lightshot. If it is not web-related, I use Snip & Sketch, the newest version of the Windows Snipping tool.

How do I take a screenshot on my Dell Laptop

by benmartin9920 In reply to How do I take a screensho ...

Use these 3 techniques to take a screenshot on Laptop
Locate the ⎙ PrtScr key. The "Print Screen" key is typically found in the upper-right side of Dell keyboards. Unlike other computer manufacturers' keyboards, the "Print Screen" key usually doesn't have anything else written on it.
The "Print Screen" key may be written a number of different ways, but "PrtSc" and "Prnt Scr" are the two most common variations.

Locate the ⊞ Win key. This key, which has the Windows logo on it, is typically in the bottom-left corner of any Windows computer.

Press ⊞ Win and ⎙ PrtScr simultaneously. Your screen should dim briefly, indicating that your screenshot was taken.
If the screen doesn't dim, try holding down ⊞ Win and firmly pressing down on the ⎙ PrtScr key.

I hope this helps!

ou can take a screenshot on a Dell laptop or desktop computer in several ways, but the easiest is to simply press the Print Screen key, which Dell usually abbreviates as "PrtScn" or "prt sc."
There are several ways to customize your PrtScn screenshot using keyboard combos.
