    I want a windows 8 design just because I like the way it looks

      You don’t use a design, you use an OS.
      So your question should be something liek “How can I emulate the Windows 8 UI in Windows 11 or Linux?”

      What happens if you install Windows 8 on your newer PC? And in a virtual machine?

        Similar to what my collogue, kees mentioned, there are desktop themes that can make you PC appear to be running a different version of the OS different than what you system is using. Not very likely you will find a Windows 8 emulator, but it is possible. Granted, I don’t see the need for such, but to each their own.
