How do I write a sponsorship proposal?

I am the President of our school’s computer club. This summer I worked as an intern at a large internet company. This school I go to is brand new, we will be the first class to graduate. I am an 11th grader and I need your help. I was on good terms will a VP there, and I basically approached him one day and said that I would be going to this new school and I will be heading up the new computer club, will your company sponsor us? He thought it was a great idea and they started talking to the school. But, in the course of the these talks, the company also decided to help out this school, and told me that the school comes first and then they will be able to talk to the computer club. Well, the point is, is that we want 30k-40k from this company to allow the computer club members to each build their own computers. The reason for this expensive project is that the computer club will be doing things on the computers that would make the school’s network staff absolutely go bonkers. We need computers separate from the network that allow us to learn on them without having to abide by the school’s computer use policy(it’s very limiting, we can’t even experiment with basic Windows functions). Well, we thought, instead of just asking for computers, we would ask for money to build our own computers, thereby teaching the members more about hardware in the process. So I need to write up a formal proposal to this company asking for the money. How do I do that?
