How do you deal with Win2000 Registry?

By violin463 ·
I program in VB6.0. Had no problems with Windows 98. I have upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro. The API's that I used for 98 don't seem to work in 2000. There is a .dll available, but I can't make that work either. How can you programmically manipulate the registry in Windows 2000?

I know I can access the registry with regedit. I need to do it programmically. Regedit is not the answer.

How do you deal with Win2000 Registry?

Hello!

I tried the code in the Microsoft Support Article Q178755 <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q178755> and it works like charm on Win2k. Ofcourse all this example does is to enumerate the registry keys. I am sure it isstraight forward to extend this code to modify registry keys.

if you need further assistance, please let me know.
