How do you set a startup document in Word 07 Enterprise?

In Visual Studio you can set projects to be the default startup project, so I assume (most likely incorrectly) that in Office suite, you can set a document to be the "Startup document" akin to Visual Studio?
I've googled and searched everywhere with the time I've had today and I've found nothing relevant nor helpful. There is nothing in the Office help nor did it find anything in the online search. Surely this is possible. I don't see why they would make such an oversight as to include a feature in one of their most important product lines and then not implement it in one of their other crucial products, microsoft office.
Honestly, it's not a big hassle, and were my Seven beta to actually recognize my ethernet drivers, I could use jump lists and this wouldn't be any problem whatsoever. And technically I could use Recent Documents, but I do a heavy amount of work in Word and I'd rather be able to jump directly into one of my frequent documents than to use any shortcuts, especially since Recent Documents is a volatile menu. Either way it's not a big problem, i mean how many tenths of a second does it take to click 2 times? But you know, even with convenience we like to be lazy.
