how long installing windows after reset laptop ?

I’m resetting my laptop. after the percentage counter hits 100%, the system will reboot and display a series of screens, after that installing windows are begin. my question is how long it takes to do this step ?? because is already 35 minutes but the percentage of installing windows is still 11 %. FYI: specification of my laptop is an i5 8th gen processor, ram 8gn, and 1TB HDD.

With hard drives the answer can be hours.

If the hard drive has issues then it could be days or will never finish. Most folk I know are swapping those HDDs for SSD because they don’t want to wait for such to finish.

it is already 94% is still possible my HDD is broken?? because the reason I’m resetting my laptop is that the laptop won’t boot windows after booting in the logo laptop.

It would never finish. There are so many HDDs that run quite slowly to the point that the PC performance is unacceptable. Broken? No. Unacceptable? Yes.

1TB HDDs are cheap. My advice is to replace it with SSD or a not made by Seagate model. Why not Seagate? We have dozens of those ready for the recycler at the office/shop.

it has already reached 95% Is it still feasible that my HDD is damaged? because I’m restarting my laptop since it won’t boot into Windows after starting in the logo mode..
