How on earth did this happen?

By jardinier ·
Three years ago I gave a Windows 95 computer to a friend who is a widow aged about 76. She spends up to six hours per day playing games: solitaire, tetris and jigsaws.

Quite regularly she hits the wrong key and stuffs up the computer and I have to set it right.

But my mind cannot grasp how the latest problem occurred. Although she watches what I am doing in File Manger and Windows Explorer, she never goes into these areas herself.

So how did this happen? The shortcut icon on the Start Menu for Tetris had magically been replaced by the shortcut icon to install Word Perfect. Selecting the icon of course brought up the Word Perfect installation (or setup) page.
