1.for a customer i have made a windows 2000-setup on a 40 gb(for the first time such a big one)hdd.p4-shuttle ms51n- made it within 30 min.!
i have the intention to make 2 partitions of 2gb plus some others.an make a ghost-image of the windows-partition. in case of troubles it could be copied back. i know that some programs will only be installed in the windows-partition. thats why i have my doubts about the small size of the 2gb-partitions. what about using the same idea for the remaining partitions: always make a ghost-image? isnt this a good idea? what sizes do you suggest. i do not know what the customer uses the pc.
2.first i wanted to setup windows me because i did not know what data-type my customers have. then i saw that i can use fat 32. is it possible-without formatting-to make a ntfs-conversion? what are the disadvantages concerning data written in fat 32 on this machine? what about ntfs-data-reading on a win98/me-machine? thanks a lot my friends-above all charlie(chas)
