how to c the file extention in xp and 2k

hey

u no how in win 95 and 98se (not sure bout me) when u would right-click a file (not a folder) and u could c the type of file but it had tha full name the file extention and tha name how could i get that in win 2000 server and xp pro

did you try this, open my computer. at top, pick Tools/Folder Options (dang them for moving it). set things to not hide file extensions. still not showing you what you want, try change the View to detailed...hope this helps...

u no when u go into properties and it has tha full name like "sniffles.exe" in tha properties section not in the file name line

My Computer Tools>Folder Options Go to the View tab and remove the check mark from "Hide extentions for known file types."
