How to change service load boot sequence

By cornejo.alvaro ·
Hi

Is there any way to change the service load sequence on a server boot?

I have a monitor service that need the smtp service to be loaded before it loads. As the load sequence try to load the monitor service before the smtp service is up, I get an error and I need to manually start the service after each reboot.

Regards Alvaro

Yes. Technet article Q193888 tells you how to add a dependency to a service using Regedit (or regedt32).
This article explains how you can set the monitor service to load after the SMTP service.
Set the monitor service to manual.
Let the SMTP service start on Automatic, and it will force Monitor to start.
Hope this helps.
