Because John is a loser

by jdclyde In reply to Why?

That isn't smart enough to remember his password and is to dumb to know how to reset it and to ignorant to know how difficult it would be to decrypt the password on someone elses router.

I am having a GREAT day. After all, I am not the one with an encrypted password keeping me out of my routers!

Think of it as a twisted twist on the "We here at TR do not answer password recovery questions". ;\

cheers.

RTFM

Is THAT better?

You can look in the Cisco manual all you want, but I bet you a nice shiny quarter that you will NOT find anything about decrypting the password in it.

Sniff

by Wizard-09 In reply to How to decrypt the encryp ...

If you put your nose close enought to the router you might be able to sniff the password out try that

A sniffer? :0

by jdclyde In reply to Sniff

I thought those were for network TRAFFIC?

Never worked for me. Bad allergies.... ;\

Yea

You can get password sniffers and the like, but they need to be installed on a brain that can take the information and process it so i think your guy here is out of luck.
