how to enable smtp

by Lintadsl In reply to how to enable smtp

smtp comes with sendmail. As soon as you install sendmail and start sendmail service, you should see sendmail is running.
have you checked that if sendmail mail is running in ps? do ps -ef |grep sendmail to see.
If sendmail is running then, next step is check firewall if port 25 is blocked or not. If it is blocked, you need to open it up.
good luck,
lintadsl.
