how to fix this error 0x000012d

i'm working on a hp pavilion dv 4000 that gives me this error message when it is loading the user profile for me to put in my user name and psw.error msg"user profile cannot be loaded because of limited resources".

Create another user for yourself

and get rid of this one. Winders has a bad habit of breaking them.

Of course that only applies to XP after SP3 has been installed and as I have no idea of what OS you are using here it's a bit hard to say if it's applicable but that is the only instance of that Error Number listed on M$ Web Site.

I'll do it now.

I understand it will make my PC much faster and far easier to access as well.

No need to worry about viruses and such because windows is a secure operating system.

Makes you want to just f'ing give up, doesn't it.

Take a wild guess on how many who followed that advice disconnected from the internet first?

Symantec has posted a fix for this problem. Download the file LUSETUP.EXE (v3.5) from http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html and run it.

Otherwise, get it from here;
ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/liveupdate/3.5/lusetup.exe
