How to gather PC info over the network?

hi there,

I am looking for a program that allows me to collect PC info, e.g. CPU type, RAM, HDD size, IP address etc. I am thinking of using the login script in Windows NT, and once user logon, this small program will start and collects the user’s PC info and save it to a server. We could then retrieve the info later and store them into database.

Anyone done that before? Any tips and help is much appreciated!
