How to get admin rights on computer

    by cacakaca1 ·

Hi, how do I get admin rights on windows 10 that is connected to a domain? I can’t use the automatic repair function as this requires admin rights. I need this because the IT here is horrible and does not know anything. I can access user level cmd not admin. these devices are MS Surface.

That’s the neat part about being on a domain.

The IT sets the level of access so you’ll have to clean install the OS you need and forget about the domain access. That way it’s completely under your control.

And let’s say it again. Microsoft has worked for decades to not allow admin when you login via a domain without the IT granting such rights.

Also, since this is for work, if you can’t do your work then take it for what it is. They pay you for not being able to do the job! Tell your boss so they can fix your IT or supply you with the right tools.

      Open the Start menu.
Right-click “Computer.” Choose “Manage” from the pop-up menu to open the Computer Management window.
Click the arrow next to Local Users and Groups in the left pane.
      Double-click the “Users” folder.
Click “Administrator” in the center list.

      This will help.
