    how to get the power of a number

    In Access 2000, please teach me how to get the power of a number, for example: square?

      You should be able to just use the expression builder and just go [field]^2

      ie your field’s value squared.

      If you don’t want to use expression builder, you can do it directly from a query using a calculated field. Add the field that you want to raise to a power. In the next column type a name for it like, followed by a :, then [field]^power as suggested in the previous post. it would something like- Result:[field2]^2. Run the query and you’ll see the result.
