How to install WU-FTPD with Red Hat 8.0

I am new to Linux and so far I love the RH OS 8.0.
I'm trying to install Wu-ftpd with Red Hat 8.0 for some reason it will not let me install. I try to following the HOWTO configure/install/implement from wu-ftpd website and it still will not let meinstall. the verson i try to install is wu-ftpd-2.6.2. Please Help. thank you. Try the installation again, and list any problem(s) that occur. But try some basic stuff first.
Are you logged in as root when you try to install.

It will be much easier to help if people know exactly what your problem is

I think you should try VSFTPD instead. This is what Redhat uses along with many other sites. If not ProFTPD I think is better. You don't mention what you have tried. Can you connect at all? Have you looked at the log files?

I am currenly running ProFTPD and will be making the switch to VSFTPD. If you can avoid it don't allow anonymous access.
