In the absence of more details, I can only think at something quite basic as a notification, that is <mailing>.

Every time that a CV or job offer is posted, you start checking the proper criteria, you collect all the companies / candidatesmatching it, and you send'em a mail notification.

Mailing should be a common operation with ASP, I would check the docs for it.

If you're developing a website using ASP, then the server most likely has IIS and CDONTS installed.

CDONTS (Collaberative Data Object for NT Server) is a simpler version of CDO. CDONTS will send email through the default mail service on the server.

To use this, you need to create an instance of the CDONTS newmail object and pass the parameters to it. Then call the send method.

I have a routine I wrote that I can send you that will make it even simpler. All you have to do is include thepage and call one function. The rest is handled for you. It returns a message of "Mail sent" or an error message. Email me if this interests you.
