By barry ·
Wanting to get some direction on how to build a web page that accesses an access database. Also, on this web page, I need to create a report with a time it takes to complete a certain tasks. This number (time) needs to exlude weekends. Can I use the"workday" feature for this.

Hi there. In order to set up a Web site with an Access Database backend, you will need to have:

1. A server (Or an ISP that supports Access Data Sources) set up with an ODBC DSN (In Windows NT, this is under Control Panel/ODBC Data sources).
2. Web Server software.
3. Application server software, like ColdFusion or ASP (IIS). Or, I think you can connect via VBScript code on its own, also.
4. An understanding of SQL, HTML, and scripting to put the page together.

As for your report, unless you have a static Access Report that you keep saving as an HTML page, you will have to put the report into a Web language.

Good luck! This is just a macro-level overview!!
