How to replicate the AD into the lab env

What is the easy way to replicate my production AD ( native 2k3 ) into the lab environment with out causing any damage for the production AD?

well you COULD back everything up including system state on the DC then do a directory services restore from the backup to your lab server. system state data will contain AD and the Sysvol direcory. do a unauthoritative restore.

NOTE: system state data also includes the registry, COM+ and system startup files. Will include the CA database if your run CA services.

I don't recommend that you place a server on the production environment make it a DC and replicate then take it off the network. It's a hassel to try and get rid of it as a DC when AD,DNS and the lot expect to have it as a replication partner. Have to put it back and do the dcpromo demote dance.
