    How to run MS Access from the other machine of the network (LAN)?

    In the local area network how can we run the ms access database from other machine? The other machines are not having the program MS Access? I have a database and work group created but not able to run it from other machine. because other machine are not having MS Access. Answers are requested As Soon As Possible.

      You can download the Access developer toolkit. Free from MS

      Then create an access application, it gives you an executable you can deploy to machines that don’t have it installed.
      Or of course you could write an app in another language to do so.

      PS, don’t go mad with either. Access is really crap at scaling too many users wanting to get at the data at the same time, or too much data and it will go very flaky on you.

      Another point certain maintenance functions such as recompact, new users etc can only be done with an exclusive session, so you’ll have to get every body else to stop using it while you do the task.

      That can be a pain in the ass. Nothing wrong with the idea, but access as never designed for lots of users and data, so if that’s the plan, it’s a poor solution.
